Growing peach - cutting

Table of contents

Growingpeachwiniit's pure pleasure for me. It is not a demanding plant. It gives juicy fruits that have a high nutritional value and have a positive effect on the metabolism and digestive processes. They also have a stimulating and refreshing effect.

Job title

Peachcan be grown anywhere, even in allotment gardens. If we provide her with only the right conditions, she will repay her with a he althy appearance and fruit. This tree prefers sunny places. Needs fertile humus soil or clay-sandy soil.

Planting

Like apricots, peachesare best planted in the spring, keeping a 5-meter spacing.

In the first year after planting, the tree should be trimmed hard to thin out the number of buds and allow as much light as possible to reach all shoots. This is very important. In this way, the crown of the tree is rejuvenated, and the fruit sets in its entire volume, reaching the required size and delicious taste.

Cutting

We prune every year, but remember thatpeachesbear fruit on two-year-old shoots. Therefore, we only prune the twigs that bore fruit in the fall. We perform this treatment in early spring or in spring, before the tree starts to sprout new shoots. If the weather permits, I do it even in February.

Wintering

When growingpeaches , remember to properly protect them against the onset of winter. These trees do not have much resistance to cold. Their flowers are particularly sensitive to spring frosts, while the whole tree may freeze in severe frosts for a long time.
