Advice: plant sunburn

Table of contents

The sun is essential for plants to live, but, importantly, it can also harm them. Some plants are very sensitive to strong sunlight. To avoid this, carefully read the information about the plant's requirements. However, sometimes sun damage occurs when plant protection treatments are performed in full sun.

A drop of liquid that falls on a leaf blade or other plant organ turns into a lens that focuses the sun's rays. These, in turn, acting with multiplied force, can lead to sunburn.

Stains of various types and sizes appear on such damaged plant organs, and flower petals may dry (similarly with leaf blades). Sunburncan also be seen as discoloration on the peel of the fruit. Damaged leaves or fruits are best removed.
