The garden is extremely important to our whole family, so we decorate it as much as possible. My dad is making decorations for the garden. It was he who created our pergola, or actually two pergolas, more than one meter apart, forming arches.
Pergolas are made of metal: flat bars and angles. They are used as supports for the Virginia creeper, whose leaves turn purple in the fall. Virginia Creeper climbs on the pergolas and grows, creating a tunnel through which you enter the gazebo.
The idea of decorating one of our pergolas with cones was born after returning from the sea. We were on vacation and lived in the middle of the forest where we had picked up a lot of cones. We decided to hang them on the pergola. When hung, they look effective and original.
The gazebo, which you enter through the virginia creeper tunnel, was also made by my dad. In summer, we spend most of our free time in it and in the garden. "When you are looking for joy for life, set up a garden," says an old Chinese proverb. And there is something to it …

Plants that are suitable for the pergola
If we want a quick effect, let's plant Aubert's knotweed (Polygonum aubertii), which is one of the fastest growing vines at the pergola.
With pergolas, varieties of self-adhesive plants will grow well, such as :
- ivuszczy,
- winobluszczy,
- climbing hydrangeas,
- Henry's evergreen honeysuckle.
We will achieve an amazing effect by planting climbing roses, which, however, need to be tied up. Suitable neighbors for them will be clematis, that is, clematis. We especially recommend their large-flowered varieties, e.g.
- 'Multi Blue',
- 'Niobe',
- 'Gipsy Queen'.
