An idyllic garden - an idyllic garden

Table of contents

I have been cultivating my garden for fifteen years. I have been retired for four years and I enjoy spending my free time there.

Since I live on a busy road, I planted spherical thymes right next to the fence. They create a dense screen that protects the property against dust and nuisance noise. It is best to plant these coniferous shrubs in a sunny and sheltered place. You need to take good care of them, because strong winds as well as irregular watering lead to drying out and browning of the shoots. Then the thuja does not look very decorative. Mine are green and dense.

In addition to the luxuriantly growing conifers, each visiting guest is greeted by my beloved flowers from the gate.In late spring, these are the most common colored irises. Their earlier varieties please the eyes at the end of May, while others open their petals only in June. Then they are joined by bearded cloves. These slightly forgotten plants bloom from June to August. Fine and tough, they grow well in sandy and clay soils, rich in humus. During hot summer, they need to be watered thoroughly. They are perfect for sunny and semi-shaded beds.

At the very stairs of the house, multicolored geraniums flaunt in pots. Duck and fuchsia feel very good in their company. The shaded part of the garden is decorated with quite demanding azaleas and azaleas. Beside them I also planted funkies, cranberries, euonymus and hives. Together they create a harmonious neighborhood. Stones and fragments of old trees are used as borders.

In my summer, golden sunflowers, elegant, lofty lilies, colorful rudbeckia and two-colored Echinacea reign. There were also malwand wonderfully smelling phloxes. Thanks to all these flowers, the garden looks truly fabulous.
