Celebration of the Great Bee Day8 August2013 is an opportunity to draw attention to the role of these industrious insects in the environment, as well as the opportunity to involve local communities: neighbors, friends, families or the whole localities in activities aimed at the protection of bees.
Proposals for activities that combine fun with education can be found on the program website www.pomagamypszczolom.pl, in theAcademy Friends of BeesZakłady Tłuszczowe Kruszwica, which is the organizer of the Great Bee Day, encourage to organize e.g.a bee procession, which will end with an educational picnic for the entire neighborhood and meetings with beekeepers. Another suggestion is cooking workshops, thanks to which children will learn how often they use bee products. Local event organizers can also organize bee performances, performances, concerts, dance shows and art exhibitions. TheRules of the Friends of Beescan also serve as an inspiration, such as planting bee-friendly plants together or building simple nests for wild bees.
The Great Bee Dayis also a chance for awards for municipalities, community centers, community centers and primary schools organizing the festival. Ten outlets (including caretakers) that will send competition entries (a Power Point presentation with up to 5 photos and a short description of activities illustrating the celebration of the Great Bee Day) can get vouchers to be carried out in the Media Markt chain of stores. Works should be sent using the form on the website.pomocamypszczolom.pl, in the tab of the Academy of Bee Friends from 8/08 to 15/08. The jury of the competition will evaluate: the idea and performance of activities and the involvement of others to celebrate and support the campaign - this applies to the local community, families, children, offices, local media.
The Great Bee Day in short:
- Feast on August 8, and the Academies of Friends of Bees, are held as part of the third edition of the program "With Kujawski we help bees", organized by the company ZT "Kruszwica" S.A.
- The holiday is supported by: Bees, E-beekeeper, Ecology, Green Events, Bory Tucholskie National Park,MY BEAUTIFUL GARDEN, RECIPE FOR THE GARDEN andSIELSKIE LIFE .
- The Friends of the Bee rules are:
- I don't burn grass and leaves.
- I plant native plants, avoid invasive ones.
- I leave places half wild.
- I use natural fertilizers.
- I create nests for bees.
