A newly established gardenrequires proper care, thanks to which it will retain its charm for many years. Proper plant care is especially important in the case of a new garden, becausenewly planted plants must regenerateand take on new positions. Before this happens, they are very sensitive to any deficiencies in care. So seehow to take care of newly planted plantsand the whole newly established garden!

Garden care after its establishment

1. Intensive watering of planted plants during the first 3-4 years, during periods of summer drought. Convert irrigation system to water more abundantly.
After planting the plants and setting up the lawn, set the irrigation system to water abundantly. This applies to the period of 3-4 years, when plants produce new roots and develop their root system. Water shortage in newly planted plants, especially in dry summers, could cause the plants to wither and fall out. To prevent this, switch the irrigation system to more abundant watering.
2. Fertilization of planted plants: trees, shrubs, shrubs, perennials.
One year after planting the plants, you can start fertilizing them. This treatment should be repeated once to three times a year in spring and summer. It is indispensable for plants that are developing and entering the growing season. During this time, plants have the greatest needs. In such a case, multicomponent granulated fertilizers with the appropriate proportions of macro- and micronutrients should be used. Granular fertilizers slowly decompose releasing minerals into the soil.

3. Removal and pruning of badly growing shoots and faded flowers.
Applying the necessary treatment, x-ray section every 1-2 years and rejuvenating section every 4-6 years. Dividing perennials every 2-6 years to keep their vitality and bloom profusely. Removing faded flowers.
4. Rose care treatments.
Roses, as they are beautiful and delicate plants at the same time, require covering for the winter. For this purpose, a mound of earth is made around the roses or covered with pine bark or peat to the appropriate height. Pruning roses is also a necessary procedure. The cutting is performed in the spring (mid IV-beginning V). You should also use translucent cuts every 2-3 years.
5. Staking of newly planted trees.
To prevent the newly planted trees from tipping and the wind, they should be staked. The stakes used for this purpose must be resistant to breaking and of appropriate length. Most often, bamboo stakes are used for smaller plants or wood for larger plants. The plant is attached to a stake with a string. It should be put on carefully so as not to damage the plant. You should also remember to change the length of the string as the plant grows in thickness.
6. Mowing the lawn and weeding.
The first mowing of the grass should be done when it reaches a height of 8-10 cm. Then the blades should be shortened by 10-15 mm. This treatment should be repeated weekly, after reaching the height of the stems 10-14 cm, throughout the season. The mower's cutting surfaces must be sharp and set correctly at the correct height.
After mowing, the lawn should be fertilized with special mixtures of fertilizers for lawns. It is a necessary procedure, because the continuous development of leaves depletes the nutritional resources of the soil. In the spring, when the grass begins to grow, nitrogen-rich fertilizers should be applied. Later, iron-rich fertilizers can be used to keep the grass green and strong.Fertilizers should be evenly spread over the entire surface of the lawn.
The procedure necessary for the proper maintenance of the lawn is weeding. Even the most carefully cared for is exposed to weeds. It takes forever to eradicate weeds and mosses. Weeds with delicate stems and leaves will be cut while mowing. Weeds growing in the shape of large, clearly visible rosettes: dandelion, plantain, thistle weed by hand if they occupy small areas or we use one of the herbicides available on the market if they have grown too much.
7. Replenishment of bark litter to a thickness of 5-10 cm every 1-2 years.
After 1-2 years from the moment of establishing the garden, the condition of the litter should be checked. If the bark layer is too thin, so its thickness is less than 5 cm, and the elements of the irrigation system are visible, the litter should be supplemented to a thickness of 5-10 cm with composted pine bark.
