Forest Parzydło - description and interesting facts

The forest perennial is a lush perennial , growing up to 2 m in height, which produces a mass of green leaves. It grows wild in Europe, Asia and North America. In our climate, it is fully frost-resistant.
The forest pane blooms from June to July . The flowers of the forest wing are cream colored, gathered in branched panicles up to 50 cm long with dangling tops. In full flower, the inflorescences of the forest wing look like plumes: -)

The forest pane is a dioecious plant , which means that there are male and female specimens. Male specimens produce more beautiful and elegant flowers, while female specimens have flowers with a slightly pink tinge.

Trivia!
The Polish name of the forest plant is not related to the steaming properties of the plant, but its similarity to the flowering nettle. However, it is worth knowing thatparzydło is a poisonous plant- it contains poisonous saponins in the seeds, and the derivatives of hydrogen cyanide in the leaves. That is why the forest plant in gardens is planted solely for ornamental purposes. In turn, the Latin name Aruncus, meaning a goat's beard, was probably given because of the shape of the inflorescence.

What are the requirements of the forest parrot?
It is worth knowing that the forest plant is an undemanding plant that can stay in one place for many years, and at the same time becomes more and more magnificent. In the cultivation of forest parzydło the most important thing is to keep the substrate constantly moistParzydło likes shady and semi-shaded places, but it can also cope with the sun and on almost any soil. However, when we provide it with a garden nook with slightly acidic soil, it will bloom most abundantly.

Remember!
The forest parrot blooms best in constantly moist, humus, slightly acidic soil, in a slightly shaded place.

Caring for a forest wing is simple. All you have to do is remove the faded panicles, and in the fall we cut the stems close to the ground. This plant responds well to fertilization with organic fertilizers, such as vermicompost, and when planting, it is worth adding compost to the dug hole, thanks to which the pane will be well received in the new position.

Forest pane can be propagatedfrom seeds and by division.
In February we sow seeds in boxesin the inspection boxes filled with compost soil. Cover the sown seeds with a small layer of soil and transparent foil, thanks to which we will reduce water evaporation.Sprinkle sprouting plants lightly, keeping the substrate moist. After a few weeks, we prick the seedlings into larger pots. In the spring of the following year, you can plant the paraglider permanently.
The secondmethod of reproduction of the forest sting is the division of the plant , which we carry out at the end of summer in August. Parzydło has a strong root system, so we will need a spade to divide it. We divide the plant and immediately plant it in a prepared position. It is worth adding compost to the dug hole, and the pane should be planted at the same height as it was growing earlier. In the fall, the plant will take root and will bloom beautifully in June of the following year!
