Rezeda fragna prefers soils rich in nutrients and sunny locations. Rezeda does not like transplanting, so it is good to choose a target position for her right away, in small groups scattered in flowerbeds, accompanied by summer flowers and perennials. One thing you should know is thatrezeda hates the company of roses We do not plant these plants next to each other!
Sowing reseda seeds into the ground from the beginning of April , and then remove some of the seedlings so that the plants grow 10-15 x 20-25 cm apart. As young reseda plants are sensitive to earth fleas, it is good to preparereseda seedlings underalready in early March. Then the seeds are sown in boxes with a mixture of compost soil, sand and peat. When the seedlings have a few true leaves, it is worth planting them into larger pots. During the growth of the flower reseda seedlings, we make sure that the substrate remains moist. From mid-May, after prior hardening the cuttings, plant them into the ground.
Do not plant red reseda every year in the same position . The plants then deteriorate and are more susceptible to diseases and pests.
When growing the flowering reseda in the garden, remove its faded inflorescences , thanks to which we extend the flowering period of the plant. We water flowers regularly, we can use liquid fertilizers for flowering plants at the same time. In September, when the leaves of the fragrant reseda begin to turn brown, we slowly remove it from the bedding or balcony boxes.
