As every autumn,The Botanical Garden at the University of Wrocławwill host enthusiasts of a nice vegetable, which is undoubtedly a pumpkin. The organizers once againprepared many attractions- with the expected competitions for the biggest and weirdest pumpkin - at the forefront. We invite you to the Botanical Garden in Wrocławon October 9 !
This is how we had fun at last year's, 12th edition of the Lower Silesian Pumpkin Festival.
Planned attractions
- Largest pumpkin”- traditional competition for the biggest pumpkin. Main avenue under the oak. Weighing start hour11: 00 ; the competition is adjudicated at around 12:00. The heaviest pumpkin from last year -648.2 kg , Polish record! Breeder:Dominik Kędziak
- " The weirdest pumpkin " - exhibition on the lawn under the chestnut trees. Adjudication of the competition by the committee hour12: 00 . One of the most difficult judging competitions.
- Art workshop " Pumpkins Cats " - from10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. , announcement of results at 14.30 (co-organizer - M. Copernicus MDK). Over 100 participants in 2015
- Competition " Pumpkin disguise "12: 00-13: 00.The contest is announced at 1:30 pm on the main stage.
- Performance of the bandsongs, dance and music games - MDK W- in Śródmieście -h. 2 p.m. , on the lawn under the chestnut trees.
- „ The most delicious pumpkin ” - culinary competition. Caffe Flora at the square with a fountain.
- The contest is resolved at14: 30 . Feel free to bring your own pumpkin dishes
- Announcement results competitions , award ceremony - at15: 30- a square near the fountain in the decoration department.
