The Plant and Landscape Architecture Fair MIASTO OGRÓD - Green Design will be held in Szczecin for the 16th time on the last weekend of April.This is the most important meeting of the horticultural industry in the province. Zachodniopomorskieattended by about 70 exhibitors and 7,000 visitors. The main theme of theInternational Szczecin Fairthe fair isthe role of water and greenery insustainable city development.
The main goal of the MIASTO OGRÓD - Green Design fair is to popularize knowledge in the field of gardening and landscape architecture, consolidate the industry environment, stimulate local communities to take responsibility for public space and give impetus to this action.The organizers also want to build the knowledge of garden lovers in the field of designing and caring for green areas.
This direction is expressed by the name of the fair: MIASTO OGRÓD - Green design. It is also in line with the city's policy: Szczecin Floating Garden and the trend of cities turning to water.
- Urban space devoid of greenery and water is becoming more and more tiring for residents of large cities. We want to change the thinking of people who shape urban space, which is why we focus on expanding our knowledge and on young landscape architects - says Lidia Kuszyk, coordinator of the MIASTO OGRÓD - Green Design fair.
This year, the MIASTO OGRÓD - Green Design fair is changing even more in the business direction. The organizers focus on expanding the exhibition offer, which will result in introducing all events to the exhibition halls. It will therefore be an opportunity to present the entire company's offer and new products to a wide range of business and individual customers.
Elements of the fair:
- Industry conference in the series "Water and greenery in the city", "The role of light and water in the arrangement of green areas" - addressed to professionals in the industry: architects, town planners, landscape architects, including students, but also representatives of local governments, developers, managers and contractors of green areas. Among the speakers are academic lecturers and specialists from all over the country;
- Young Landscape Architect Zone - this is a place in the fair space where young designers will present their ideas and projects, will be able to establish new business contacts and learn about the expectations of future investors. Participation in this zone gives young landscape architects the opportunity to promote their company;
- Exhibition part - here the horticultural industry meets its customers by offering not only specific products and services, but also advice and consultations. The exhibitors will include producers and distributors of equipment, tools, equipment and materials for gardens, as well as means for growing and caring for plants and fruit growers.Contractors and greenery designers will also be present;
- Show garden - companies from the gardening and construction industries, as well as students of landscape architecture are invited to participate in the show garden. The Show Garden is accompanied by an exhibition of projects submitted for the competition.
