Plants and the degree of sunlight in the environment

Dry spots

If the soil is permeable, we can use attractive prairie perennials from North America in our bedding. Importantly, such a rebate does not have to be watered frequently. In this arrangement bloom: Echinacea paradoxa (yellow flowers) and Echinacea pallida (pale pink flowers), Monarda menthifolia and Penstemon digitalis

Damp places

Not only for the water garden Siberian Kosaćce: Iris sibirica 'Caesar's Brother' (dark blue flowers) and 'Bodensee' (light blue flowers) are among the most beautiful plants that bloom in early summer. These varieties thrive both in moderately moist soil and in the shallow waters of the coastal zone of ponds and watercourses. Here, yellow irises, I. pseudacorus, also appear in their company. The Euphorbia palustris in combination with the polygonum bistorta knotweed performs well in humid sites. These plants grow rapidly, taking up more and more space.

Solar places

The cultivation of ornamental plants in well-sunny positions in a fertile soil brings very good results, because in such conditions the plants bloom abundantly and develop he althily. Proposed combination: in a permeable, dry substrate (eg.in a clayey sand substrate) the following feel great: Carpathian sedum Sedum telephium (in the foreground), Veronica spicata, Yarrow Achillea filipendulina and Clary sage Salvia sclarea.

The clayey soil, which retains moisture for a long time, successfully develops, among others: the Caucasus cream bell Campanula lectiflora 'Prichard's Variety' (light blue flowers), blooming in the second half of summer and autumn Helenium variety 'Moerheim Beauty '(red flowers) and Agastache rugosa variety' Alba '(white flowers).

Shadow places

A surprisingly large number of flowering perennials can grow under the luminous shade of trees and large shrubs. However, in order to speak of an effective (and effective) cultivation, certain conditions must be met. First of all, it is necessary to determine the degree of permeability of the substrate and determine whether the plants will not compete with each other for water and food. For example, in plantings with shallow-rooting perennial shrubs, they do not have access to large amounts of water. Summary: a small amount of water is sufficient for the Welsh Meconopsis cambrica, Euphorbia amygdaloides and Geranium nodosum.

Another composition: where, in shaded positions, the ground has a bit more humidity, you can grow white hearts, magnificent Dicentra spectabilis 'Alba' and purple Himalayan Geranium himalayense. Hyacinthoides hispanica has been successfully used to close the gaps in plantings. For turfing shadowy and slightly damp places, for example, spotted light, bergenia, wood thyme Asperula odorata, and Corydalis.
