This does not mean, however, that its cultivation will not be possible under other conditions. The best substrate for yarrow is humus soil. It is worth avoiding sowing it in heavy, moist soils. It is better at dealing with drought than with over-irrigating the ground.
The fastest growth will be noted when we plant the plant in a sunny placeor only slightly shaded. Plenty of sunlight will also extend the flowering period significantly. What to water with yarrow slurry (or how to prepare)?
Indeed, I have heard the information that yarrow can be used to make liquid manure used in plant protection. However, since its effectiveness raises doubts, I refer to the recommendation of the Agricultural Advisory Center in Brwinów, Radom Branch. In organic farming and natural plant protection methods, it is recommended to prepare two types of biopreparations from the whole Yarrow plants cut during flowering: decoction and extract. Both preparations are used preventively. Decoction against aphids, honeysuckles, larvae of bedbugs and leaf-eating butterfly caterpillars. Extract against moniliosis, powdery mildew, brown rot of stone trees, stone blotch and peach curl.

Growing yarrow is therefore practical. This process provides the opportunity to create beautiful and colorful garden beds, but also gives access to natural remedies. When to pick a plant to be able to use it?
The collection is subject to the so-called yarrow herb, that is, the above-ground part of the plant. Both the stems and the leaves and flowers are torn off. It is important, however, that it is not lignified or dried. Therefore, this should be done at the beginning of flowering of the perennialSpecialists advise not to cut too much of the plant. You should collect the upper part about 30-35 cm long.
After obtaining the raw material, it should be dried Warm and dark places are ideal for this. However, care should be taken that the temperature in them does not exceed 35 degrees C. The dried yarrow herb can be used to prepare an infusion for drinking. You can also soak a cotton ball in it, and then use it to wash the skin, e.g. face. Therapeutic use can also be obtained by making compresses. The cloth or bandage should be soaked in the infusion and then applied to the wound or bruise.
Baths with the addition of yarrow extract are good for improving the condition of the skin. To get it, you need to pour two glasses of water up to one hundred grams of dried fruit and set aside for about two hours for the herb to swell. Then this liquid is poured into the bathtub with water.
