Autumnis my favorite season when it comes to garden decorations. As nature slowly prepares for winter sleep, I have ornamentalpumpkins ,heathersandchrysanthemums .
HeathersI buy especially for this occasion, andpumpkinsandsquashesI have from my own cultivation . I collect colorfulmaple leavesand fruit twigswild roseduring long walks with my dog - Reks. And all plaster figurines come from a small collection accumulated over the years. With the latter, however, I try not to overdo it, so that my garden is as natural as possible.
I am a huge fan ofwicker basketsand it is mainly in them that I create myautumn bouquets . Colorful ribbons, raffia, twigs and other decorations are very easily woven between the switches.
I know from experience that such decorations last the longest in quiet places, which is why I put my arrangements mainly on the terrace and under conifers.
In the fall I also leaveto the scarecrow . I stretch out his wooden spine and let him relax with a bottle of dry red wine - he's earned it all season long!
