This year's competition is the seventh edition of the vote for the European Tree of the Year.From the group of European countries participating in the voting that grows every year, one tree from 16 countries moves to the finals.It is from this pool that the European Tree of the Year is selected in a separate final voting.Importantly, voting is not only about the beauty and age of the tree, but also its history and importance for the local community.

Competition rules
Voting runs from February 1 to February 28, 2022-2023. In the last week (February 22 to February 28), voting is secret, which means that the current number of votes cannot be found on the website.The results will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on March 21, 2022-2023 in Brussels, during which the winners will be awarded.
