The idea to create a water corner was born a few years ago. I had a wet meadow in front of my house, which was perfect for this purpose. I started the work from digging a large hole. I took the ground away and carefully cleaned the bottom of all impurities. After that, all you had to do was wait for the water to burst and enjoy your eyes with a private pond. However, it was only half of the planned task. The next step was to develop the area surrounding the reservoir. I put a gazebo, a windmill, a swing there and built a nest for storks, and fenced the whole thing with a net. Our pond has also been illuminated with solar lamps and planted with decorative shrubs and flowers.Colorful tulips bloom here in spring, and yellow and orange marigolds in summer. Our effort was not in vain - it is getting more and more beautiful.
We are farmers, so we do not go on holiday, as the obligations on the farm do not allow it. That is why we rest here and recharge our batteries for the next day of work. However, our three-year-old grandson, who spends a lot of time with us, has the most fun. He can go on a boat with his grandfather, swing on a swing and feed the fish.
We also have some regular visitors here. These are two pairs of wild ducks and a gray heron wading in the water in search of a meal. Thanks to this, our backyard pond is a real oasis in the bosom of nature.
