Tall, medium-tall and dwarf varieties

Tall varieties(Maximum), growing up to 120 cm, are mainly intended for pruning. The Polish varieties include, among others 'Jan' - dark carmine, 'Mandarin' - raspberry orange, 'Domina F1' - white, 'Romina F1' - yellow, 'Karmina F1' - red.

Medium-tall(Nanum Maximum) varieties, up to 60 cm high, are used for flower beds and for cutting. From the native breeding, it is worth mentioning 'Aramis' - dark red, 'Atos' - dark pink, 'Portos' - brick-orange and 'Venus' - orange.Low varieties (Nanum Compactum) grow up to 30 cm.

Dwarf varieties(Pumilum), up to 20 cm high, are planted on flower beds and borders.

Heterotic snaplings

Foreign companies only offer heterotic F1 varieties due to their abundant and long flowering. Among them, the following deserve attention:

- from the Arrow F1 group - medium-tall, creating numerous shoots resistant to winds and rain, perfect for flower beds and containers;

- from the Sonnet F1 group - medium-tall, very well-branching, ideal for growing in large containers;

- from the Coronette F1 group - medium-high, characterized by wind resistance and rust tolerance;

- from the Montego F1 group - 15-20 cm tall, with an even, compact habit and well-branching;

- from the Lantern F1 and Luminaire F1 groups, forming declining and overhanging shoots, ideal for hanging containers and balcony boxes; however, they are only propagated vegetatively by means of shoot cuttings. In each group mentioned there are several varieties with different colors.
