But that's not all, the catalog also includes a guide section with practical tables that facilitate the selection of plants for a specific garden. What else will we find in this release and is it worth buying? Here is my opinion and review.

When I picked up this catalog for the first time, I was surprised by its weight and volume. You can immediately feel thatinside is a large dose of knowledgeFirst impression: color cover, glossy, good quality (thanks to which the edition will serve us for years), very nicely composed and a clear inscription on the spine "CATALOG OF PLANTS" will make it easy to find this item in our garden library in the future. Practical matter - the corners are rounded, so they will not bend: -)
After opening the catalog, we seevery nice, colorful photos of plants , you can clearly see the high quality of the print. This is important because we can have a good look at the plants.Short descriptions of plants briefly define their most important features , apart from photos there are also small drawings showing the shape and size of the plant compared to the human figure. This gives us a practical idea of how a particular plant will grow and what it will look like in the future.

I also drew attention to a very useful - clear marking of the site (sunny, semi-shaded, shady) and the frost resistance zone next to each described plant. The information about frost resistance is often unavailable in other sources or given inaccurately, and here we have the exact definition of the zone number, which allowsto assess where in our country a given plant can cope with(the map with zones is on the very beginning of the directory).
The catalog describes exactly 2,680 plants , which is over 30% more than in its older version, including new sections: terrace plants, ornamental grasses and ferns. In addition, as in the previous editions of the catalog, you will find sections devoted to conifers, deciduous trees and shrubs, heather plants, vines, roses, orchard plants and perennials.And, importantly, all these arespecies and varieties available in the Polish nursery offer !

At the beginning of each section you will findexample photos of plantings with plants from a given group along with their names . Thanks to this, we can imagine how certain plants will look like when planted together and how to properly compose them with each other.

It is very usefula compendium of knowledge when shopping in a garden center or a nurseryNot all of us are experts, and here we will find tips on how to choose good quality plants and perfectly suited to our garden: -)

The selection of plants that meet specific requirements will be facilitated by tables and lists , which can be found at the end of the catalog. My attention immediately caught, among others. a combination of plants for urban greenery (tolerating air pollution and soil salinity, usually found in cities) or animal-friendly plants (e.g. honey-bearing plants, or providing shelter and food for birds).
Among these combinations we can also find a verylong list of plants suitable for growing in containers , which will be very useful for people who have created their beloved garden on the terrace or on the balcony.
To sum up. I am convinced that it is the basic work tool of every gardener, designer and seller of plants, and the owners of gardens or other forms of green placeswill find in the catalog the necessary information and a huge dose of inspirationfor field activities. And if you like to change something in your garden every now and then, the catalog will certainly become your companion on green journeys and will keep pace with you, as it should :-).
