I havevery a lot plantswhich I water and fertilize according to their needs . I likeviolets african ,ficuses ,draceny , begonie , ferns, hojeI also have some succulents ( cactus ,aloeandgrubosza ), which can accumulate water and survive in the homes of even the most forgetful andoverworked lovers of flowers
In February, when the day visibly lengthens and the plantsend their winter rest , I always try to transplant them. Some of them need larger pots because the roots exit through the drainage holes in the bottom. Smallerspecimens I exaggerateto containers 1-2 cm larger in diameter than those in which they have grown so far. Large plants are given 3-5 cm potslarger than the previous ones.
UsuallyI used flower pots plasticwhich are very practical and available in different sizes. Recentlybuying also clayThey keep moisture for a shorter time, so they are good for plantsintoleranttoowet substratesi also likeceramic casings They decorate the apartment.
All succulents, prefer dry soil, get a substrate with lots ofsandandperlite. This makes it more permeable to water. I add someclayto the dracen and somesour peatfor the ferns. - Too overgrown flowers, e.g. begonias, ferns ,arrowrootorcibora, I separate. This way I have some new plants for my friends. Leaves of African violets broken off during transplanting can be successfullysuccessfully rootwglasszwater
