When planning planting in the garden, remember to include plantsdecorative also autumn . If they run out, we will not enjoy one of the most beautiful seasons of the year.
A harbinger of the upcoming autumn in my garden is blooming goldenrod (Solidago hybrida), sometimes called Polish mimosa. It'sa perennial with a stiff stem , growing up to 150 cm. Its shoots end with yellow, largepanicles flowersthat gracefully move in the wind. Goldenrod looks nice in a larger group. It can be cut intovasesorcomposeof itdry bouquetsThis perennial grows well in any substrate and iscompletely frost-resistant
I planted my goldenrod by the pond, but they are soexpansivethat they have spread all over the garden. I tear out their excess and usually treat it as a "substitute plant", which, for example, fills the bed afterspringflowers bulb-tulipslubcrocuses
Virgin Creeper'Veitchii' (Parthenocissus tricuspidata) is another autumn twist in front of my house. Similarly tovirginia creeperfive-leaf'Murora'(Parthenocissus quinquefolia), which sticks perfectly to the fence. lightanddarkgreen leaves in summer in autumn changes like in a kaleidoscope, starting withyellow ,orangetored

Equally delightful at the end of the horticultural season is thescarlet fire(Pyracantha coccinea), whose orange fruit stays on the branches until winter. However, the shrub islittle frost-resistant , so plant it in a secluded area and cover it. Purple berries gathered in clusters delight the eyes in autumnBodiniera beauty(Callicarpa bodinieri).Wild rose(Rosa canina) tempts with red, tasty fruits, andsea buckthorn(Hippophae rhamnoides) orange, also edible.
Vinegar(Rhus typhina) is also a striking accentautumn gardenNot only discoloration the leaves make it an important part of the season. Large, maroon inflorescences standing at the ends of the shoots remain on the tree all year round. Sumac is not liked because of the numeroussuckers rootwhich must be removed all the time. In addition, it is a speciesextremely little requiringto grow and tolerant to soil. It also has an original, exotic shape.

When writing about nicely colored plants, it is also worth mentioningpalm maple(Acer palmatum). Most of its varieties are quite capricious in cultivation. They all requiresoil humus ,slightly acidicand moderate moistWhen the substrate is too dry, the tips of the leaves dry out. They root shallowly, therefore, to keep moisture in the substrate longer, they should be sprinkled with bark. maples likequiet ,warmandsemi-shadedThey are sensitive to frost. My specimens, however, bravely survived the last winter. Due to an oversight, I did not cover the 'Butterfly' cultivar tree. Fortunately, it did not freeze to any degree and revived in the spring.Maples Palm treesare colorful from April to November. My favorite variety is 'Osakazuki' -green leaf summer , ared autumn
