My husband and I live in the so-called terraced house. We always dreamed of a house with a big garden, but well, lifespells own scenariosDespite this, I did not give up from my gardening passions and - as soon as we moved here - I decided to turn our terrace intoa realoasisof greenery. A few years have passed since then and I am proud to say that I have made it.
Spring cleaning onour terrace startas soon as it disappearslast snowAfter the winter you have toremove the dead leaves , twigs and other debris he carried the wind. Occasionally a plank in the fence or landing will come loose. Then I ask my husband for help. On the terrace I putseveral larger potand many small containers in whichplants winterI cover the most sensitive ones, especially hydrangeas, in latein autumn with garden fleeceorwith straw mats.In spring I remove the covers from the pots and check how my kids winteredgreen wards.If necessary,remove damaged twigs , and trim the whole bushes a bit. I do this, for example, with box trees that I have several.

Spring is also the best time to feed your potted plants. Personally, I most often add tocontainers soil compost , which I buy instoregardening .
In addition to trees and shrubs, I also have many flowers and herbs on the terrace - e.g.lavender ,mintandlemon balmFirst appearprimroses ,narcissi ,sapphires ,hyacinthsandtulipsOnce they bloom, I only dig out the tulip bulbs every year and store them in a ventilated place untilmid SeptemberOther bulbs stay in pots even forseveral seasons.I only separate them when I want to rejuvenate the plant.
