How to arrange a garden in a Far Eastern style

Table of contents

Creating an interesting plant composition in the Far Eastern style in the garden is not an easy task. I was looking for inspiration until my visit to the Japanese Garden in Wrocław. I was delighted there with beautifully discolored palm maples and carefully trimmed plants. So I wanted to copy some elements to create Japanese style discounts.

I bet on a bonsai cut Chinese juniper. To it I added spherical box trees and low-growing creeping junipers. In this environment, palm maples will prove themselves, delighting in the fall with the carmine color of their leaves. I planted two trees from this family - Acer palmatum 'Garnet' and Acer japonicum 'Aconitifolium'.In the corners of the plot there is a place for a dwarf sycamore maple and a group of mountain pine.

The colorful accent is introduced by flowering shrubs: hydrangea, Japanese gold, tree magnolia. Japanese marshmallow will work well under the trees, as it quickly turfs dimly lit stands.

I planted the plantings on the edge of the plot, leaving a large area of the lawn in the center. The wavy shape of the bed was to create a composition that would naturally blend in with the surrounding nature.

To display the arrangement, I chose illuminated spheres that will look good with boxwood.

Maintaining this garden requires regularity and patience. Care includes: cutting formed plants, fertilizing, maintaining the lawn and watering on hot days. I recommend the presented method of gardening especially to people from the western parts of our country, where the climate is slightly milder.
