When to plant fruit trees?

Seedlings of fruit trees come in two forms, one is sold with the root system open, the other is sold in pots with the roots in the ground. Planting fruit trees with an uncovered root system should take place during the dormant period, i.e. in early spring (March-April) or autumn (November). Trees grown in pots can be planted all year round, but it's best to do it in spring.

How to protect fruit trees against spring fungal diseases?

The old truth that prevention is better than cure is also justified in the case of plants. Spring weather is especially conducive to fungal diseases, so it is worth taking care of your fruit trees in advance. An experienced gardener can reach for a plant protection calendar with a fruit plant protection program, a less experienced gardener should have copper fungicides in his tray, eg Miedzian 50 WP or Miedzian Extra 350 SC. Both preparations have a very wide range of applications in the protection of fruit trees. They protect not only against basic fungal diseases, but also against selected bacterial diseases. Moreover, both are approved for use in organic farming. The greatest effectiveness is obtained when spraying in the early spring (February-March), still in the leafless period.

How to plant fruit trees?

In order for the fruit trees to catch on and grow into juicy fruit in the future, it is worth choosing a sunny place to plant them. At the end, we tread the buried soil creating a small depression and water it thoroughly.

What spraying can be done on budding trees?

The answer to this question is neither easy nor unambiguous. The dates of spraying depend both on the cultivated species of fruit trees, the stage of plant development and the life cycle of their pathogens and pests. In addition, we distinguish leaf and flower buds and various stages in their development. In order to properly protect your fruit trees, it is worth using the plant protection calendar, in this case with the fruit plant protection program. The plant protection calendar is a guide for the diagnosis of diseases and pests and the use of plant protection products based on proper monitoring, forecasting and harmfulness thresholds.
