Woodis my favorite material. I decided to makenew garden furnitureand a swing out of it, and line a garden path with unnecessary trunks. I did all the work myself.
Garden furniture
To begin with, I obtained simple and nice boards from the linden trunk. In turn, I took oak logs from the bark. I carefully sanded all the elements. The next step was to trim them properly.
I twisted the finished boards tightly with screws and in this way a table with two benches was created. I painted the furniture with a coloring impregnation light brown and finally applied it with a colorless varnish for protection. They are now a unique decoration of the terrace.
Swing
I had quite a lot of material left, so I came up with the idea that a swing would also be useful in the garden. I made its seat of linden boards, which I then attached to a flat bar. A safe supporting structure for swings and handrails for the bench was made of oak logs. I still needed a roof. I decided that it would be a rye straw thatch. The whole thing looks really original.
What architectural style did you encounter most often in Polish gardens and plots?
Polish gardens, which I have already visited hundreds, constantly surprise me. Their diversity is so great that it's really hard to classify them in any framework. I meet modern gardens, based on modern materials and gardening trends, in which there is an extraordinary discipline, but also natural and free gardens, where it seems that plants dictate their conditions. There are also extremely exotic gardens that look like they were transferred from another corner of the world.
Garden paths
However, it was not the end of my activities. I cut the oak stumps into discs by approx.
8 cm thick. In the lawn, I dug a path approximately 20 cm deep and 80 cm wide and sprinkled it with sand. I paved the edges of the path with granite blocks and the interior was made of oak slabs. Between the wood I have composed field stones and pieces of granite. I filled the space with sand. I paved the remaining paths with stones. I have to admit that the garden became very beautiful after these treatments!
