38. Skierniewice Festival of Flowers, Fruits and Vegetables
The Skierniewice Festival of Flowers, Fruits and Vegetables is a two-day cultural, scientific and commercial event.
The celebration will start with a floral, fruit and vegetable korso, featuring: the Institute of Horticulture, schools, cultural institutions, gardeners and foreign guests.
During this special weekend in September, visitors to our city can admire two exhibitions presented by the Institute of Horticulture and the Municipal Cultural Center. At the exhibitions, you will be able to see the results of work on improving the species of vegetables, fruit and ornamental plants.
Visitors to the Institute of Horticulture will try mushroom dishes prepared by the Association of the Cultivated Mushroom Industry. Products for horticultural production (fertilizers, tools, substrates), as well as a wide range of ornamental plants, herbs and vegetables will be offered for sale.
A rich fair of publications will allow you to buy the latest gardening publications. People interested in seeking professional advice in the field of vegetable production, horticulture and ornamental plants will benefit from the advice provided by the research workers of the Institute.
It is worth noting that this gardening event is accompanied by a rich offer of cultural events. It is also becoming a tradition to invite guests to taste the "Skierniewice apple pie".
A permanent element of the festival is a fair on the streets of the city, where you can buy ornamental plants, houseplants - from seeds to perennials, shrubs, trees from container crops.
Since 1997, Skierniewice has been inviting you to participate in the Horticulture and Agricultural Fair, which is an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest trends in horticultural production and modern technologies used in horticulture.
