We start planting the escarpment withan analysis of the habitat conditions. Depending on the location of the slope in the garden, we can maneuver the appropriate species of plants that will work great in this place.
The most frequently selected plants for planting slopes are ground cover plants , also known as cover plants, which cover the surfaces of the slopes in an attractive way. Asground cover plants for scarp , we recommend especially low species with horizontal shoots distribution, low-bushing and fast-growing, and also long-lived and undemanding. Desirablefor strengthening the soil surface on slopesare species that spread via runners or have the ability to root shoots in contact with the ground. When planting a scarp, it is good to choose larger, uniform groups of specific plant species.
The selection of plants for the escarpmentshould be consistent with the compositional style, the established exposure and the prevailing habitat conditions. We should analyze the soil, water and insolation conditions prevailing in a given area.Properly selected vegetation for the slopewill reduce the need for weeding and removing weeds and the number of other treatments. Most of the plants on the slopes bloom nicely or have long-lasting colorful leaves , thanks to which they create colorful carpets on the ground.
If ourSkarpa is located in the southern exposition , directly in the sun, we can plant species such as: St. .
The escarpment located in the western exhibitionis a bright position with good lighting conditions. In the afternoon the sun shines bright there, so thisexhibition is suitable for plants that require a lot of sun and warmth , such as ground cover roses or 'Sem' rowan tavlin.
