We start spraying pear trees in the leafless periodby performing the so-calledpreventive spraying, which helps to avoid disease infections and the occurrence of pests. We perform preventive spraying for all pests attacking pear trees and diseases such as fruit tree cancer, pear rust or pear scab.
Additionally, intervention spraying of pear treesis performed after the first symptoms of diseases appear, e.g. in the case of pear scab, spraying with Syllit 65 WP (the tree should be sprayed within 24 hours after infection). The second case ispear rust spraywith Magnicur Gold.
Spray pear trees at certain stages of tree development , i.e. phenological periods. These periods may be different each year depending on the prevailing weather conditions.
For pear spraying, you can useplant protection products, ready-made preparations based on natural ingredients or, for example, plant decoctions that we prepare ourselves.
For pear scab sprayingyou can use Syllit 65 WP, Miedzian 50 WP or Magnicur Gold preventively. In order to prevent the occurrence of resistant pear scab, it is recommended to use Magnicur Gold mixed with Antracol 70 WG.
Pear rust will be treated with Magnicur Gold, used at the first symptoms of the disease (from the flowering phase to fruit harvest, with a grace period), and Mythos 300 SC, used preventively.
On the other hand, against fire blight will be Miedzian 50 WPused during the flowering period and during the fruit growth period.
Ecological spraying of pear treescan be done with preparations of yarrow and field horsetail. We can make decoctions or extracts from them. They show a tonic effect, helping to fight scab and pear rust. Among the ready-made preparations based on natural ingredients (field horsetail), Evasiol can be mentioned.
In early spring, green caterpillars with dark heads can be seen on young leaves, flower buds and flowers. These arecaterpillars of the leaf rollers , which later contribute to the rolling of the leaves into a tube shape. These caterpillars produce yarns that stick the leaves together to form loose rosettes, and scrape the crumb from the leaves, creating the characteristic clearances. After noticing the caterpillars of leaf rollers, we spray the biological preparation Lepinox Plus. It is an ecological agent, safe for the environment and harmless to beneficial insects. Ideal forfighting caterpillars on pear leavesin garden crops.
It is also worth using oil preparations(Promanal 60 EC, Emulpar 940 EC) during the bud swelling phase (February-March), which destroy the winter stages of pests.
