Rozsłana belongs to the heath familyh (Ericaceae), just like the popular American blueberry and beautiful azaleas and rhododendrons. Golteria produces attractive red fruits, which, however, are valued only for their decorative qualities. Although they are edible, they are simply not tasty. Shaded goltery leaves containessential oil, glycosides and tannins. The main component of golterii essential oil is methyl salicylate, which has properties similar to acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin).
Goliath leaves have an analgesic effect , anti-inflammatory, astringent, diuretic, antibacterial and antifungal. They are used to treat colds, flu, fever and gastrointestinal disorders. They can be used in inflammation and urogenital infections.

The dried leaves of dispersed fennel are used to prepare an infusion of(the so-called Canadian tea) and a rinse for a sore throat and to soothe skin inflammations. Goltery leaf tea is beneficial in coughing, sore throat, hoarseness, cold and flu. It helps with migraines and other pain ailments.An infusion of goldfinch leaves can be usedin flatulence and colic. In order to prepare an infusion of the leaves of shaded guillemot, pour 1-2 teaspoons of dried leaves with a glass of boiling water. Use 100 ml 4 times a day.For making infusion, you can harvest the leaves at any time from spring to early autumn.

The cultivation of dispersed goltery works best on light soils , permeable, rich in humus, moderately moist and acidic (pH 3.5-4.2). Single-breasted golteria has low nutritional requirements and is very sensitive to soil salinity. If necessary, we usecalcium-free fertilizers , preferably mixtures for rhododendrons and azaleas, popularly referred to as fertilizer for rhododendrons or for acidophilic plants, to fertilize them.
Golteria is sensitive to water shortage . In order to protect the root system of the wintergarden from drying out, especially in the first years of cultivation, we mulch the soil around the plant with pine bark.
Goltery is best grown in semi-shaded places , it also tolerates deep shade. It can also grow in sunny places, but then it is necessary to water the plants in summer and shade in winter.
Postage Golteria is completely frost-resistantand does not require covering for the winter. Only plants grown in sunny and windy places need to be covered with light shade material or clothes to protect them from drying out and sunburn on frosty and sunny winter days.
