- useful ladybugs help us in the fight against aphids that inhabit flowers, leaves and plant shoots. For them, aphids are an excellent food. One ladybug larva can eat several hundred aphids!
It is worth knowing, however, that even a very careful eye of a gardener will not notice every such garden helper.The fight between beneficial and harmful organisms also takes place on the scale of microorganisms that we cannot see with the naked eye .
I mean bacteria and fungi. When we hear about them, we immediately look for some chemical agent to eliminate them. Meanwhilebesides bacteria and fungi that cause diseases, there are also beneficial bacteria and fungi . They are the natural enemies of diseases and pests in the garden.

Why so few people use microorganisms in their gardens?
Mr. Jerzy, who has been cultivating the garden in accordance with the principles of ecology, told us about the problems with the use of microorganisms in the garden. Here is his story:
"There is no place for chemical spraying in my garden. If you abandon them completely, you can achieve a state in which plants can basically cope with themselves. Though not entirely so, because they are simply supported by beneficial microorganisms - such invisible guards garden.

Scientific research confirms the effectiveness of GUARD
The effectiveness of the GUARD preparation has been confirmed by numerous studies An example is the research carried out in 2016 at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. One of the examined aspects was the influence on the infestation of raspberries with a serious fungal disease, which is gray mold. This disease attacks raspberries and strawberries every year, causing large crop losses.
What did the research show?
- In the case of raspberries that were not protected by any of the methods, almost 12% of the fruits were affected by gray mold.
- Standard chemical protection lowered the proportion of infected fruit to 7.2%. Unfortunately, these sprays are harmful to the environment.
