Two ideas how to make an Easter headdress

Easter is the time when rich spring colors dominate, especially colors such as yellow, green, blue. This is the basic color palette with which we decorate our homes. Each of us wants to haveEaster headdressin our home to emphasize this extraordinary period in a more special way. Therefore, over time, many different ideas arosehow to make an Easter headdress

What you need to make an Easter costume

We suggestmake an Easter headdressbased on a straw or wicker wreath. This type of headdress can be placed on the Easter table or placed on the coffee table as the main decoration of our living room. You can buy the wreath at a florist's market, in a flower shop or make yourself from birch twigs or dried hay.
Of course, theEaster headdress can be madealso on a more traditional basis, e.g. in a wicker basket. You can put a floral sponge inside the basket, to which we will attach other elements.

Qualityaccessories for the Easter decorationyou will need Roman hooks and florist wires (for fixing elements), sphagnum moss, fleece or raffia, eggs (blown eggs or artificial polystyrene eggs) and silicone glue for hot glue (glue gun). There should also be at least one figurine of an Easter lamb, a bunny or chickens, and a candle. The main element on theEaster headdresswill of course be plants - preferably narcissus or hyacinths growing from bulbs. They look original, symbolically refer to regenerating life and have a much longer life than cut flowers. Green boxwood twigs or twigs with catkins may also be useful.
Perhaps you are wondering what are Roman hooks? Roman hooks look like barrettes only they are wider, you can buy them from a florist, in a flower shop or make them yourself. If you want to make Roman hooks yourself, just take the floristic wire, cut it with pliers into approx. 8 cm sections and bend each section into a horseshoe shape approx. 0.5 cm wide. In other words, hooks are U-shaped wire.
We buy narcissi or hyacinths in small pots, from which we gently take them out so as not to damage the roots. It is best to rinse the onions with water. Why do we do this, you will read in a moment. However, if you want to make a more traditionalEaster decorationin a basket or a bowl, the flower bulbs can remain in the pots that you place inside the centerpiece and cover with moss, fleece or raffia.

How to make an Easter decoration in 4 easy steps

Having all the elements ready, we can start making an Easter centerpiece. Here is jHow to make an Easter decoration step by step .
Step 1 - prepare the base for the tuner
Cover the straw wreath with moss and attach it with Roman hooks. Try to arrange the moss in such a way that it covers the entire wreath tightly. Instead of moss, you can use fleece or raffia. If instead of a wreath, the base of the centerpiece is a basket, place a floral sponge in it. You will be able to easily stick wires to it, to which ornaments such as blown eggs, figurines of a lamb, a bunny or chickens will be attached.
Step 2 - we attach live flowers
We attach narcissus or hyacinth bulbs to the wreath covered with moss, also with hooks. It depends on us whether we place the onions evenly on the entire wreath or just focus on one side. We propose to attach the flowers to one side in the amount of three bulbs. Important - do not stick the hooks into the onions, because we will damage them! In the case of a traditional centerpiece, the base of which is a wicker basket, the plants are not removed from the pots, but the pots are simply placed inside the basket. Then we mask them with moss, raffia or fleece.
Step 3 - put the remaining Easter decorations
Once we have the flowers attached or positioned, we attach the egg as a symbol of birth. You can take a colorful eggshell. Just remember not to overdo it with the number of eggs. We also attach other Easter decorations to the wreath or floral sponge. Usually one lamb, a bunny or one to three little chicks are enough.
Step 4 - check what the composition looks like
Attaching the ornaments was the last step. After you finish arranging them, it is worth taking a few steps away from the Easter decoration and watching it from a distance. Then you can check if there is something missing, whether everything is evenly distributed, or maybe it is better to add a bow made of velvet, yellow ribbon, or subtract a few eggs because they dominate the composition too much.

How to care for your Easter costume?

And this is the end of the instructionhow to make an Easter decoration step by stepBut don't forget about it completely. It is worth spraying narcissus roots and moss (in the case of a wreath-based reed) once a day or water the flower bulbs in pots, which will prevent premature drying of the flowers. We should also remember that flowers fade faster when it is too warm. So if we made the headdress a few days earlier, it is worth keeping it in the coolest place until Easter, before we put it on the Easter table.
