Early greenhouse vegetables

Table of contents

The presented example of a varied multi-species cultivation of vegetables covers the period from February to April.

In February, we sow spinach, radish, lamb's lettuce and turnip leaves. In addition, we plant white kohlrabi, head and leaf lettuce.

By mid-March, most of the earliest vegetables are already harvested. Free places can be sown or replanted. We sow, for example, celery, arugula, various varieties of Asian lettuce, Italian chicory and early turnips. Later we plant seedlings, e.g. blue kohlrabi. When choosing vegetables, remember about the principles of crop rotation, trying to change the place of cultivation of individual plants.

At the end of April, the greenhouse will be free of space for seedlings of tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, peppers and, for example, melons. Strong and hardy species of vegetables, such as spinach, lettuce and kohlrabi, can already be planted outside the covered frame.
