While we were learning how to design and then take care of our garden, we asked a landscape architect for help. The expert drew a plan of our garden and explained in detail what the main characteristics of the rockery are. We have already planted the plants ourselves. It turned out, however, that the distribution of stones proposed by the architect did not work out at all in practice. It looked like he had planned large boulders in the middle and small ones around it, which did not give such a nice effect. So I figured out that I would choose stones of the same size. And it was a bull's eye! Skalniak looked beautiful, and besides it looked aesthetic and original.
I got my first plants from my friends who were gardeners and gardeners.Initially, I acted quite spontaneously and planted everything I got from them. Then it turned out that some of the plants were too tall, so I just dug them up. All I have left is a yew bush and a magnificent white lily. Later, I was more prudent, choosing species and varieties typical for rockeries. I have decided, among others for lavender and spurgeons, which radiate extremely positive energy, which makes it a pleasure to rest in their environment.
Recently, my collection of ornamental shrubs has grown. Azalea is a real Asian princess. Thanks to it, the rockery acquired a typical Far Eastern character. Initially, I planted it on the lawn near the house, but then I thought that it would look much better on my rockery. The entire composition immediately acquired an interesting Far Eastern color. To emphasize the character and complete the whole, I am going to ask my husband to make me a small wooden pagoda in Japanese style in his free time.
