Appearance

Mylaurelis about 10 years old. So far, it has reached a height of a meter. It is a very slow growing plant.

Wawrzynek wilczełykoblooms at the end of winter or early spring - it depends on the weather. In my garden it is usually March. Very numerous four-petaled flowers appear on leafless twigs. When it's spring cleaning time, it's nice to work with the scent associated with hyacinths.

Whenlaurelfades, leaves appear, especially at the top of the shoots. The fruit is also starting to take shape. At first, they are green, shiny, pea-sized balls that turn red over time. Then you need to warn guests that in the garden you must not pick anything from the bushes and eat them, because they are poisonous.

Propagation

When the fruits are so ripe that they start to fall off, I pick them all, sprinkle them around the bush and cover them with a thin layer of soil. Thanks to this, a large number of his "children" are growing next to the laurel.

I have already given some of the seedlings to my friends - of course with a reminder that the plant is highly poisonous.

Transplanting

Elderwawrzynekdoesn't like overdoing it. It then grows slower and has fewer flowers. Young seedlings take on much better in the new place.

Fertilization

I fertilize my bush in early spring, using the universal mixture. Three years ago, I mulched it with bark. The idea turned out to be wrong, becausewawrzynekwas not happy about it. It looked as if it was drying up and its leaves had lost their firmness. When I removed the bark and replaced it with good compost, everything was back to normal.

Job title

Wawrzynekwe plant it in slightly shaded places, but in periods of longer drought it should be watered so that the soil is always slightly moist.
