A few years ago I appreciated the advantages ofornamental grassesI found out that these plants are fabulously easy to grow. They handle all conditions well. In my garden, the soil is rather heavy. If I do not feed it with fertilizers and I do not strengthen it with purchased soil mixtures, there is no chance of a colorful flower bush. Aornamental grassesare doing quite well for me!

The first seedlingsornamental grassesI got from my friend, they were:

  • Chinese miscanthus,
  • Gray's sedge,
  • reed canary grass.

I like the last species the most.
In my collection I havereed brain 'Feesey'This variety is distinguished by light green leaves with white edges. They appear on long, stiff stems, such as those of a reed. In July, the plant produces flowers - dark red, spiky panicles.

Mojagrassgrows near a pond where it has a lot of sun, and under a fence, in light partial shade. It grows nicely on both sites. The one by the fence also masks the old rails.

Mozgais expansive, so I do not recommend it for discounts. You can try to limit it by putting it into pots without a bottom. However, I am not a supporter of such a method myself. Artificial demarcation must have an impact on the appearance of the plant. So I think it's better to let it grow freely.

Mozgais resistant to prolonged rain, drought and frost. Its care consists in removing dried parts.
