Protection of water resources
The first step in dealing with the effects of drought is to become aware of the problem and stop harmful activities as soon as possible. The second - supporting the so-called little retention. It is a set of many different solutions that bring tangible benefits for both people and nature. The most effective of them are: the construction of small reservoirs, ponds and ponds or tree planting, which can be implemented on plots and in the garden. These solutions make it possible to retain water - which is especially important - in the place where it fell with the rain. By acting locally, as part of small retention, we support the protection of water resources throughout the country.
Here are some useful solutions:
- Rainwater tanks- a wide selection of above-ground and underground tanks available on the market will allow for their functional and aesthetic fit in our garden. We can use the water stored in this way, among others for watering trees, shrubs and flowers.It is a solution that is both beneficial for us and for the environment. Rainwater has plant-friendly properties, and well-kept vegetation helps to retain moisture in the soil. It is soft water with a low pH content, rich in calcium and magnesium. It works especially well when watering rhododendrons or blueberries.

- Rain gardens, ponds and ponds, i.e. water retention installations- each of these solutions will not only affect the aesthetic value of our garden, but also help to keep rainwater. Moreover, this solution will improve the microclimate around our house. By creating ponds, we can be sure that they will also attract insects, which are necessary for pollinating plants.

- Permeable surfaces, e.g. eco-gratings- changing the surface around the house from impermeable to permeable will stop the rapidly flowing rainwater. Thanks to this, you will prevent the soil in your garden from drying out quickly. They are easy to install and allow you to use rainwater over the entire surface of the grate.

- Own water intake, eg Abyssinian well- in case of water shortage, you will have your own water source for watering the garden. In addition, the lack of costs related to the use of water supply will allow you to save on our home budget.
