Starting in December, we start making plans how and with what to decorate our houses and apartments to feel the Christmas magic in them. The owners of gardens, balconies and terraces also make every effort to ensure that these special days of the year are as colorful as possible.
First, let's make sure that winter garden decorations are placed at the front door, in the front garden and on the outer window sills. Plants in pots, such as spruce, cypress or boxwood, are perfect for this role.
We can decorate their shoots with small baubles, heavenly apples, gilded walnuts or angel hair.In the winter garden there is also a beautifully blooming Helleborus hellebore, which is called the Christmas rose for a reason.
It's best to plan your decorations on a sunny afternoon. Then we will see more precisely which places need to be decorated. Let's not forget about lanterns with candles, the flames of which will make our evenings pleasant.
Intense colors are desirable in a winter garden. They will be provided by holly fruits, which look beautiful not only on the bush, but in various types of reeds and bouquetsWe can easily prepare Christmas decorations ourselves, then the satisfaction will be greater.
Holly Ilex aquifolium is an ornamental plant appreciated especially in Europe and North America, which is eagerly used for Christmas decorations. Its cultivation in our country is possible, but mainly in warm regions, because holly in long and cold winters often reacts with freezing. To enjoy its beauty also indoors, let's create an original headdress from it in in the form of a mini-tree.
1. Let's prepare a small, preferably metal cover. At its bottom, let's put a reasonably thick branch. Fill the space between the casing and the branch with soil or conifer bark (it smells beautiful).
2. Put a floristic sponge on the branch (preferably in the shape of a ball). Then let's stick the leaves and fruits of the holly quite densely into it.
3. Spread the moss evenly on top of the bark or soil, and tie a decorative string around the casing. A headdress prepared in this way will beautifully decorate any terrace and even a festive table.
