Many of us dream of a small garden with an extensive view. And it turns out that the realization of these desires is not at all difficult. The plot can be optically enlarged with a few simple methods. I present to you my suggestions.
Garden mesh
The first method to enlarge a plot of land is to open it up to the landscape. It does not necessarily have to be the horizon, but for example a nice neighbour's garden. To reveal the view in the chosen direction, we can mask the fence of our property. A good solution is to paint the fence posts green and select the appropriate mesh. The least visible and cheap is the forest mesh (e.g.Ursus AS Light). It has fine wires and smaller mesh at the bottom and bigger mesh at the top. It does not obstruct the view and is an obstacle for animals. It can be opened on posts spaced 8-10 m apart. It is also worth recommending a more solid mesh made of plastic coated with green plastic, the wires of which are positioned vertically and horizontally, not diagonally.
Gravel paths
In a small garden, instead of concrete or stone paths, gravel paths - such as in a park, leading to a composter, gazebo or gate - work better. And if we already have concrete or stone ones, it is worth considering their liquidation. Thanks to this, we will obtain material for the construction of a rockery or the so-called dry wall and we will gain a large piece of land.
Garden alley
As a rule, the paths should be winding. An exception may be one, simple alley, which is used to optically enlarge the garden. It may be a little wider at the beginning and taper imperceptibly towards the end.On my plot, only a seven-meter-long path, which I present in one of the photos, is 1.7 m wide at the entrance and 1.5 m wide at the end. It can be optically lengthened by slightly changing the colors of trees, flowers or shrubs growing on the sides. For me, the last two elements are purple apple trees. There is a rule that plants with warm colors (red, orange and yellow) should be planted at the beginning of the path. And blue or ashen leaves (e.g. perovskia, ash old man and woolly purgatory) - at the end. Ornamental shrubs should be sorted in order of size - the larger ones are planted at the beginning of the alley, and the smaller ones - further.

Mirrors in the garden grill
A small space will be optically enlarged by small mirrors mounted in the openings of a wooden garden grill. They can be glued with glass silicone. Set slightly inclined, they will reflect green and sky. A mirror fence looks very good next to the fence, but behind bushes, e.g.currants. Equally good results are achieved by placing such a wall at the end of the track.
