Revitalization of the garden - old garden like new

Table of contents

I live in a block of flats where I only grow flowers on the balcony. I missed my own garden so much. So two years ago I decided to buy a plot of land. It is small - 340 m² in size and has been a bit neglected by the previous owner. It was an elderly person who was difficult to care for. It didn't deter me. I had a lot of ideas and a great desire to implement them.

My family helped me a lot in the last one. I was happy with my land, because now I had nowhere to plant flower bulbs imported from abroad. For some time I worked in the Netherlands growing tulips. These beautiful flowers of many varieties have therefore found a prominent place in my flowerbeds. However, the beginnings were not easy at all.

Substrate enrichment

The soil is loamy and heavy here. You had to apply almost a ton of soil with sand. Then still renew the old gazebo. Thanks to my father, who has just taken a well-deserved retirement, everything was quickly put in order. Now the gazebo serves not only as a place to relax, but also to organize family celebrations. There is nothing more fun than celebrating outdoors. I am very happy now. I have a garden where I can take a break from the city noise.

New plantings

Nothing pleases me like planning new plantings, marking out new beds, decorations and thinking about working in the garden. Last year I planted crocuses, hyacinths, tulips, giant garlic 'Gladiator', swordtails and yellow and orange imperial checkerboards 'Rubra' and 'Lutea'.The whole garden bloomed lush and colorful, and I was very proud of it.

Cooperation is the key

I must admit that the neighbors-gardeners appreciate these colorful changes. Often, someone comes to admire my flowers, peers at my ideas. It makes me very happy. It also happens that we exchange advice, ideas or plant seedlings and bulbs with our neighbors. The cooperation makes all our plots look beautiful.
