Tip: Recycle the compost

Table of contents

Compost is a very valuable organic fertilizer that should not be missing in the garden.Regularly used (every 2-4 years), it supplies the soil not only with macronutrients, but also micronutrients necessary for plant growth. That is why compost is sometimes called the black gold of gardeners.

Compost fertilization can be used in autumn and spring - then we will reduce nitrogen losses that occur with the autumn supply of soil.Properly produced, it is ready for use after 6-12 months. For its preparation, you can use ready-made composters, which, however, have a limited capacity, or traditional wooden ones.

Some even use 2-3 bins for better segregation
and partially speeds up production. It should be remembered, however, that sick plants or blooming weeds cannot be used for composting.Too much waste should be shredded, which will speed up the composting process.

The basis for obtaining good quality compost, in addition to the organic waste used, is regular, minimum 2-3 times mixing in order to evenly distribute the bacteria responsible for the fermentation processes. The last treatment should be done in the fall so that the fermentation continues in winter.
