Tip: care for "fruit vegetables"

Table of contents

Some species of vegetable plants that provide us with fruit require special care. Tomatoes and some varieties of peppers should be staked
and tie it to prevent limp shoots from breaking.Cucumbers can also be grown with specially prepared constructions, like pumpkins
and their various botanical varieties.

Eggplants grown in the field do not require stakes, but if they are grown in a polytunnel or greenhouse, it is worth leading them next to strings (e.g. like tomatoes).Proper watering of these plants is a very important procedure.
In cultivation under cover, it is best to water the plants every day.Watering plants growing in the field less frequently, but more abundantly. For tomatoes it should be 10-15 l / m² every 2-3 days and for cucumbers 3-5 l / m² every 1-2 days.

Cucumbers, especially at high temperatures, are exposed to excessive boiling. It is also good to fertilize these plants with a strongly diluted solution of liquid fertilizer (the optimal amount is 2-5 ml / l of watering).

If we observe wilting symptoms in plants, then it is better to use slightly warmed water.Using cold water, we will expose the plants to additional stress, which adversely affects their growth.
