I would like to present to the readers of the "Recipe for the Garden" my idea for the border of the flower bed.
I have not had a garden for a long time, so I still change something in it - I exaggerate, plant, experiment with plants. I am open to all gardening novelties.
Birch palisade
In April this year, my husband and I decided to fence our flower bed to make it stand out. Around it, we nailed birch stakes (about 6-8 pieces next to each other) and placed stones between the groups of wood. On the inside, along the flower bed, we put a 20 cm long strip of non-woven fabric onto which we poured white garden litter.
Gravel, stones and birch stakes blend well with each other, giving an interesting effect.
Arrangement of flower beds
I planted various shrubs and flowers on the freshly set flower bed, incl. spherical thymes, dwarf mountain pine, euonymus, barberry, tawułka, cinquefoil, spruce 'Konica', thuja and tulips, hyacinths, narcissi and gilding. I hope that the plants will grow nicely, and the new border of the bed will perfectly emphasize its asymmetry.
