P:I recently found out about a bush called puzyrnik. May I have more information about him?
O:Puzyrnik Ceanotus, or prusznik, is a shrub that favors light, warmth, fertile soil, slightly acidic, deeply cultivated and adequately moist. But most of all, puzyrnik likes warmth and does not tolerate our winters very well. Young specimens absolutely require proper covering. It can only be grown in the western part of the country.
There are two groups of these shrubs:evergreen shrubsanddroppingleaves for winter. Evergreen plants require sheltered places near the southern or western walls, shedding leaves - they can grow on sunny flower beds.

They are planted in spring. There are many varieties of flowering puzyrnik with different shades ofblue , but there are also pink varieties. Depending on the variety, Puzyrnik blooms in May and June or from July to October. Evergreen shrubs are not cut or not cut at all, flowering in spring is pruned immediately after flowering, summer varieties are cut in April. Shrubs with seasonal leaves are pruned inMarch , shortening flower shoots to 7-8 cm above last year's increments.
Q:How far apart should the seedlings be in a spruce hedge?
O:Young plants, three or four years old, with lumps of soil, are best suited for a spruce hedge. They are planted at intervals of 100 cm.Norway spruceis quite a demanding species as it grows best in fairly moist and fertile soils. It is not very resistant to air pollution. Its lower branches often dry up, especially on the north side. Therefore, it is recommended to plant such hedges in a north-south direction to better illuminate both side surfaces.
Blue Sprucehas lower requirements, often grows well even in dry and sandy soils, it is also resistant to frost and dry, polluted air. However, it has higher light requirements and should be planted in fully sunny places. White sprucehas a needle color similar to the prickly one, but less intense, the needles are shorter and less prickly. Also suitable for molded hedges.
