Climbing Griffon Cobaea scandens is an annual climber, reaching up to 3 meters, wrapping around supports with a sticky whisker.Draws attention with large bell-shaped flowers, green in buds and then purple ('White' has white flowers). It can only grow on the balcony and in the garden from mid-May because it is sensitive to low temperatures.
However, due to the long growing season, we have to start growing it from mid-February to early April. The seeds are sown singly or in pairs in small pots (8 cm in diameter) filled with peat substrate and placed in a bright, warm place. When the plant grows, trim the top of the shoot and insert the support. After May 15, the vulture should be transplanted into a larger container (1-3 plants, depending on the size of the pot).
The plant will bloom 17-18 weeks after sowing. It requires a fertile and moderately moist substrate and frequent feeding. In cool and rainy summers this climber produces very few flowers.
