In order for flowering shrubs and perennials to not set seeds, we need to cut their wilted flowers in good time. As a result, the plants do not lose their vitality so quickly and can still bloom. Cutting flowers is not recommended only for those plants that form decorative seed heads.
Tulips thrive better if they are replanted to a new position every three years. If they stay in one place longer, they can be attacked by diseases. The bulbs are sensitive to crushing, so they need to be planted very carefully.
New plantings must not dry out in the first weeks, because their further development depends on how they take root.
If the bamboo spreads too much, trim the stems. This can be done with a spade, as long as the roots are not too woody, of course.
If the birds are at home in the hedge, we should wait until July for cutting bushes, so as not to destroy the nests with chicks.
