Our pond is almost 5 years old and I would like to tell everyone how it was created.
Bottom of the eyelet
My brave dad dug himself a fairly large basin, several dozen centimeters deep. We lined it with a transparent thick foil. After pouring water into the pond, we waited a few hours for the whole thing to turn out properly. Then we cut off the excess foil sticking out on the sides. It was also necessary to strengthen and protect (mainly against frost) the layer of plastic protruding above the water surface. For this purpose, we used bubble wrap, which is more resistant to crushing and cracking.
Banks of the reservoir
Then you had to think about the edges of the mesh. There were many proposals, but in the end we decided to sprinkle the nearest area around the reservoir with small pebbles. To press the foil and to protect the gravel layer from falling off, we made quite close borders of the larger stones.
Plants to the pond
Then it was time for plants around the pond, as well as fish. In the water there are, among others floating fern - Carolingian azole, melting pot and water lilies. On the other hand, mainly irises grow on the shore.
Cleaning the eyelet
Every now and then, when the water in the tank is not clear, we pump it out and wash the foil. Of course, for this time, we put plants and fish in containers.
Dad also installed a fountain and the so-called fogger. This illuminated device produces an atmospheric fog. A clay frog is also attached to the fountain. Water is pouring from her mouth. In addition, there are solar lamps around the pond that flash at night.
