On September 27, 2013, the official opening of the New Gardens took place, with a labyrinth and an observation tower in Dobrzyca near Koszalin. Over 400 people participated in the opening ceremony, under the patronage of Deputy Minister Stanisław Gawłowski and Deputy Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Jarosław Rzepa - representatives of science and art, local governments, state administration, tourist organizations, owners of hotels and holiday centers, landscape architects, gardeners and other guests. During the ceremony, the name of the New Gardens was presented -HORTULUS SPECTABILIS.
HORTULUS SPECTABILISwill ultimately be an over 30-hectare complex of various types of gardens.The currently completed first stage of the project (5.5 ha) is the world&39;s largest hornbeam labyrinth with an area of 1 ha, 3.2 km long corridors and 2 m high walls. The heart of the labyrinth is a 20 m high observation tower from which you can admire the labyrinth, surrounding gardens and further surroundings, up to the B altic Sea.
HORTULUS SPECTABILISwill be open from June 2014. Then they will be open to the public - a labyrinth and an observation tower, a stone circle and a dolmen, gardens of the Four Seasons, English perennial beds, a rosarium with boxwood ground floors as well as node gardens and boxwood topiars. area of 3 ha with a beach, a sauna garden and an energy grotto, an oriental garden, a sensory garden, a musical garden, a moorland, a rock garden, a national collection of selected plant species and a collection of plants acclimatized in zone 7b.
