Sansewieria guinejska Sansevieria trifasciata is a plant known and cultivated for years. Due to its extraordinary resistance to unfavorable growing conditions, it was often found in almost every interior - from apartments to offices, schools, offices and clinics. Its ubiquitous appearance, often miserable due to neglect, meant that this plant ceased to enjoy sympathy.
Currently, however, it is back in favor. This was due to the spread of attractive varieties with a slightly more compact growth, denser foliage and interesting leaf color. One of the best known is the 'Laurenttii' (or 'Lautrentia') variety with creamy-edged leaves. Others are, for example, green-silver sanseveria 'Moonshine' or 'Bantel's Sensation' with longitudinally striated leaves. Compact varieties growing up to 20 cm: 'Hahnii' and 'Golden Hahnii' are also very popular.
Regardless of the variety of sansevieria, it's easy to create a successful arrangement. The simplest is to arrange 2-3 plants in the same pots. Thanks to their slender habit, they will fit even on a narrow window sill or shelf.Plants tolerate a lack of light, so they can grow quite far from the window, they tolerate also different temperatures and a lack of moisture in the substrate and air.
The best condition (and therefore appearance) is that of plants growing in a well-lit place, but not in direct sunlight. The corresponding temperature is 18-23 ° C in summer and 16 ° C in winter. In spring and summer, watering should be plentiful, but the substrate should be slightly dry before the next one.
