EM technology, i.e. effective microorganisms in the composter
I have heard very different opinions about the effectiveness of preparations made in the EM technology (Effective Microorganisms). However, I have lost all doubts since I had the opportunity to try them out myself. I have already done this twice - first in 2003 and then a year later.
Californian biopreparations and earthworms
Each time I used EMa-Farming preparations for the pre-treatment of the compost heap. In the second stage, each time I let Californian earthworms into the pile, which ended the whole process. In this way, I combined two organic methods of obtaining biomass.
Action of the EMa-Farming biopreparation
In 2005, however, I tried EMa-Farming biopreparations in a separate landfill with weeds and other organic waste. In practice, it looked like this: I placed 3 boxes with compost and the Californians working in them in one corner of my garden (6 ares), and the other part of the waste (approx. 25 m from the first) my wife deposited at the opposite end of the plot. And it was on this second part of the waste that I decided to conduct my test. Last summer, I watered the whole thing twice with the EMa-Farming biopreparation solution (in a 1: 100 ratio). What was the result of my experiments? Really impressive! After about 1.5-2 months, the pile of waste, 2.5 m in diameter and 1 m high, was carefully processed into a homogeneous mass, in which not even one whole grass survived! I carefully leveled the valuable biomass obtained in this way and since then it serves as a substrate for the cultivation of the best species of blackcurrant seedlings.Already in the spring of 2006, I saw that my currants have taken root very well. Since then, I have become an ardent supporter of the EM method. I recommend!

RECIPE FOR THE GARDEN How to fertilize the soil?
EM technology is based on the use of the so-called effective microorganisms. Its main goal is to create useful microflora in the soil and composter. EM preparations contain a special complex of bacteria that heal the soil, improve its composition and significantly increase its fertility. At the same time, they restore the natural biological balance of the environment. The main advantages of EM technology include reducing the occurrence of pests and diseases in the soil and accelerating the decomposition of plant waste and debris.
