It's the season for bonfires, barbecues and outdoor picnics. This is why I want to present my idea for an original grill. Although the simplest model can be bought in supermarkets for a dozen or so zlotys, if you do something yourself, it is greater satisfaction!
What to do with the old washing machine?
Two years ago, my wife and I replaced the washing machine with a new one. We have old hardware left, so there was a problem what to do with it. Of course, we could return it to the store, but I heard that my colleagues from some of the old equipment were doing various functional things, such as a motor lawn mower, a strobe from a capacitor, a chandelier made of a drum, so I wanted to do some DIY. I took the drum out of the washing machine. For the first days, it lay useless in our yard and was used by my son to play. Until one day I saw my Adaś arranging dry sticks in it. A thought struck me in my head …
Making a barbecueI looked for a piece of metal tube, which served as a leg for the whole structure. I placed it on an upside down, bearing cross and that's how my rotating grill was created!
Advantages of the grill in the washing machineThe chrome-nickel plate of the drum makes it virtually unbreakable. My grill also has the advantage that it can be placed anywhere in the garden. Sometimes my son and I light a fire in it and bake sausages in the traditional way, i.e. on sticks. Another time, I put the oven rack on top and then simply grill the prepared dishes. My friends envied me such a barbecue and some of them have already made similar ones.
