Decorative forest plants

Table of contents

It is worth going to the forest at any time of the year, because there is always something interesting to observe in it.In spring, when nature comes to life, everything begins to bloom here.At this time, the trees do not have leaves yet, so the forest undergrowth receives most of the life-giving light.

At the beginning of March, the first sunbaths are taken by blue forest violets and liverworts (we wrote about them in the March issue)In the forest litter, it is quite easy to spot yellow blooming primroses. It's hard not to notice them, because they are about 30 cm tall.Primula is Latin for primula, which means first.

It's hard to find a better proof of their early flowering. It is impossible to pass by indifferently the wood anemone, which grows in carpets over very large areas of the forest. Its white flowers can be admired from April, if the weather is good, because when it rains and at night, they close to protect the pollen.

Here and there you can also spot purple inflorescences of the hollow coconut. She also likes clay soil.It is worth knowing that both of these plants were considered indicative, that is, determining the properties of the environment.

Wild garlic is not immediately visible, but there is a good chance that we will smell it first, because the whole plant emits a characteristic garlic smell. The aromatic hug also stands out with its original aroma, but this species begins to smell only when the leaves wither. Spring buttercup with tiny yellow flowers blooms with carpets.

Flowers decorate not only the undergrowth, but also the upper floors of the forest. It is enough to look up to see blooming rowan, viburnum, black and coral lilacs. And although not all specimens are under protection, picking them may be treated as an act of vandalism, and the forest guard may impose a fine on us. So let's watch, let's not break up!
