A few months ago, while tidying up my property, an old, leaky barrel fell into my hands. I had no idea how to use it, so I put it aside in a pile of things to throw away. When I later returned to the landfill, I found a bouquet of wild flowers stuck in a hole. It was the doing of my 5-year-old daughter. It inspired me to make an unusual pot.
Around the barrel I cut two rows of approx. 7 cm holes, six in each. I have prepared a slightly acidic humus soil. At the bottom of the container I put a layer of drainage and then enough soil to cover the first row of holes. I put a surfini in each hole. I poured another layer of soil and repeated the treatment. Finally, at the top of the barrel, I also planted some plants. When they grew and bloomed, the effect delighted everyone in the household. But my daughter was the most happy.
